Just got home from cleaning at the new place.
Spent this morning running again to the hardware store & drug store picking up things I forgot yesterday. Yesterday we picked out paint for the first four rooms and downstairs hallway. My mind was in such a fog, so I stuck to mild colors. Down the road, I'll choose accent colors for each room to paint a small section. Since the wardrobes take up so much wall space (remember, they don't have closets here), it will work out better for the accent sections after we move in and get a feel of the rooms. It's not as if everything has to be done right away. It's also fun having decorating to do over time...keeps the creative juices flowing.
So, this afternoon, we headed over with two full car loads of necessary painting & cleaning supplies. While I cleaned the bathrooms (scrubbed, I should say) and kitchen, Gerhard sanded down the walls in the three upstairs bedrooms, filled any little holes he could find and then vacuumed up the dust. He did a very good job! The walls are "raw". Not sure else how to describe them in English. Yes, I should put a photo on, but even though I had my camera today, I forgot. Blame it on the foggy brain syndrome during pregnancy. hee hee. That's another reason I'm taking everything in stride. No point in getting frustrated with anything, all will work out in the end. Well, with such a large yard, fruit trees, berry bushes, flowers and a soon to be veggie garden, I suppose there will never really be an end. Not to mention the upcoming dirty diapers that will need to be changed. Well, at least we wont get bored.
Time to eat & put our feet up.
Hope you all have a fun weekend!
