Baby Update

Can you believe it??? Already week 27 with 13 to go!
We had another Dr. visit today. Blood pressure is good, weight is good & the other test with instant results were all good. We'll get the thyroid test results back next visit, unless they aren't good and my meds need to be adjusted. Though my regular finger prick blood sugar tests have been in the normal levels the whole time, we chose to schedule a fasting test done in the office. The test with the grape juice and waiting two hours to see how it effects the blood sugar. That will be in a couple of weeks.
We got to see the baby on the monitor. Unfortunately, he just wouldn't cooperate to make a clear photo. He had been active most of the morning so by the time it was our turn, he was napping, with his head under the placenta. We tried to wake him up to get him to move over to the right side, but he was stubborn. The point was to be able to make a 3D photo of him, but there can't be anything blocking the view. We would have liked to have one to post on the blog, but we'll try again in four weeks. He looked very healthy. Gerhard thinks he saw a full head of hair. It was just hard to tell in the position the baby was in. Still, the baby was cute to watch. One fact is, the lower half of the baby wasn't hiding, so we know for sure He's a BOY! Still no progress on the name search however. There's still time. I'm not a big fan of taking belly photos, but if he's not going to cooperate for the camera, it might be the only other pre-birth baby photo we get, besides the early ultrasound photo. So long as he's health and safe, waiting another 13 weeks or so to get his photo is very fine by us.
