Friday afternoon we leave for a retreat center about 50 minute drive up the road from us. Several friends go every year there for the marriage seminar, so we decided to check it out this year. We'll be gone till Tuesday around lunch time. It's held at Langensteinbacherhoehe, though don't worry if you can't pronouce it.
We're looking forward to a weekend away. It's been a while. Gerhard is very busy with work and soon we'll be busy with the move and preparing for the baby, so this comes at a good time. I'm especially looking foward to not having to cook, clean or do laundry (though I don't mind doing those things, it's just nice to not have to sometimes). It's supposed to be a fairly relaxed schedule, with even time to take naps. I'm still needing a nap practically every day. I'm around five weeks from the third trimester, but that burst of second trimester energy I keep hearing & reading about seems to allude me. Maybe since the nauseousness lasted so long. When the packing starts, I'm sure my energy levels will increase from the excitment of moving. We may even be able to get the keys to the new place a week early to start painting & moving over some boxes. It all depends if the current renters finish taking down all the wallpaper they put up. They are planning to be out by Feb. 24th. That will be very good for us to get started earlier painting. My goal is to have everything in order by mid March since that will start the last 10 weeks count down till the baby arrives. Even the best laid plans can go crazy, so we'll see how it all turns out. I'm not worried or stressed, it will all work out well. I'll be scheduling naps between the painting, packing and moving to make sure I don't over do it. This guy doesn't need to be coming early because of me doing more than I have to.
