We're heading into week 23!
Today's doctor visit focused more on the baby's surroundings than on the baby. The measurements and location of the placenta is perfect. Everything is sealed the way it should be and the baby has turned from the last appointments. Before, he was sideways, now the head is down and the body is mostly on my right side. He's quite active, like practicing kick-boxing or something.
My weight, blood sugar and blood pressure are all normal. My thyroid will be tested again in four weeks to see if my hormone tablet dosage needs to be increased.
My doctor said now would be the time to go on a mini vacation since everything looks so good and my energy levels should be up for a while. Gerhard's response "We're moving soon.". Definition: "She can put her energy to packing." hee hee. He knows already I'm an organized packer and will do my best, so he's not worried. This time though, packing is as much as I can do, no lifting. Otherwise, I would pack up the Touran with boxes and make several trips a day soon as we have the keys. I'm so excited to move into a quiet area. Today's weekly children's program downstairs had my nerves shot. There was a celebration, meaning a couple dozen children at the same time not stop shrill, full blast screams for two hours straight.
The water bed company comes to move our bed on March 5th, so that will be our first night sleeping with total silence (except for Gerhard's snoring & me saying "SHHHHH!"). No traffic, no slamming doors or sliding tables & chairs from downstairs, no children's programs or choir practice in the building and hopefully no loud neighbors. Our landlord said it's going to be so quiet we wont be able to sleep. Not too sure about that though. Even still, I'd rather be woken up by peaceful stillness than by shocking noises. So, we are counting down the five weeks till we can move. That will give us 12 weeks till the baby's due. Maybe we'll be able to stock up on some sleep.
