We are now entering week 22! Only 18 weeks to go!
Gerhard was able to feel the baby kick last week, so that was exciting. I've been feeling flutterings for a little while, now they are a bit stronger. It's so exciting! Our next appointment is on the 28th, so we are looking forward to that. We've started researching hospitals and will go to the Pforzheim Hospital on Feb. 11th at 8pm for an introduction class. We were leaning towards the Boeblingen Hospital since it is highly recommended and has a Children's Hospital connected to it. However, it will be 40 minutes from the new house, so we started considering Pforzheim, which is less than 30min. away.
Pforzheim also has a Children's Hospital connected to it as well as having the rooms set up with the most modern birthing techniques. Another plus is the amount of staff & Dr.s that are 24 hours on duty. The mom's are not woken up before 9am and there is a breakfast buffet for the mom's and dad's. Sounds good to me. We'll know more after the visit and still have other options if this one doesn't suit us.
I thought I was going to make it through week 21 without any more throwing up, but it hit again on Saturday. Maybe this week will be without any. If not, I'm not gonna stress it...it's all part of the program. Everything else seems to be in order. Blood sugar and weight still at a good levels. Sleep is hit or miss some nights, but that's to be expected. All in all, we are doing great!
