This weekend, our home pc flipped a power breaker & had a burning smell to it. We are hoping it is just the power source & not something more serious. We have the business computers to use in the mean time. Unfortunately, on my side of the home pc is the e-mail address book we would use to send out the baby's birth announcement. If the baby comes before we get the address book back or updated, you'll only find out through our blog. Be sure to check in over the next days and weeks.
I was up half the night last night with Braxton Hicks contractions. The baby is still very active, seems he wants out. I'm finally packing my hospital bag today. Who knows, maybe he'll be a little early...or a little late (hope not). My feet have swollen to the point of not being able to wear my shoes. Not sure if I can swell any more, so if he comes a bit early, I wont mind. We start week 38 this week, so even though every day he's in the womb he gets stronger, he should be fit enough to go ahead and make his appearance. We'll see if he waits till after Grandma gets here, or if he'll come early to go to the airport too. So long as he doesn't arrive on one of the other up coming birthdays, so he can have his own.
We're starting to get a little nervous about not having a name, or a list of names picked out. That's pretty much the only thing we're nervous about, so guess it's not too bad. We're not nervous about the birth or any issues that could come up, or that the baby's room is not finished & so much still needs to be done around the house. We are just so excited he's almost here. Our prayers for a safe delivery and healthy baby take away any concerns, giving us peace. We know the Lord is in control and gives us nothing we can't handle.
Today is another German holiday. This time of year is chocked full of holidays. There is another one next week. Roland and Tyler come over to grill out for lunch. We picked up a new sandbox for Tyler since the one that come with the house was ant infested. It was built into the ground and the wooden sides were starting to rot. I dug it up. There is still a little bit of sand that needs to be bagged up and removed before fresh dirt and grass seed can be put in the spot. We also got a little blow up pool since it was supposed to be quite hot today. Turns out it should only be in the low to mid 70's, so perhaps too cool still for a pool. Maybe not for my swollen feet though. The top of the sand box can also be used as a mini pool. Right now, the yard looks like we got some snow actually. The white flowers on all the fruit trees are blowing off. I'll try to remember to get a shot of Tyler in one of the trees he likes to sit in as well as an updated photo of this big belly.
Guess I better finish getting ready & head outside to the sunshine. We've had a week of beautiful sunshine. They call for T-showers on Wed or Thursday. The plants are already feeling the effect of so much cloudless sun. Tyler & I planted some flower seeds to come up when Grandma visits, but I've forgotten to water them every day, so we'll see if anything comes up.
Have a great day...wherever you are!
