2nd Trimester begins

Today begins the 2nd trimester (14 weeks with 26 to go). Not necessarily the magic day to end all 1st trimester side-effects that's for sure. Yesterday was really rough...couldn't hold down lunch no matter how hard I tried. The nausea is not much better today, but at least lunch is staying put...so far. Monday we'll have our next Dr. visit and may be able to find out the gender which will naturally lead to more name debating.

I did manage to get the tree up and the lights put on it, but that's it so far. Gerhard will carry up the rest of the decorations from the basement this weekend & I'll decorate as my energy allows. The tree with the white lights (340 lights actually) looks nice enough, but the rest of the decorations will make it better. When Tyler was over last Friday afternoon, he ran straight for the tree. Since I put it on a table, he can only reach the lower branches and looking said the tree was soooo tall. He was very careful and only touched one little light to see if it was hot. He is too funny.

David was over for dinner on Monday night. On the way here, he had a tire blow out on the autobahn. Fortunately, he made it over to the side without any accident & the BMW service person found him quickly. Since the weather was a bit wet (we woke up to snow again that morning, but rain washed it away), he didn't stay with us too late, to avoid any troubles driving on the spar tire. We were all so lazy from the beef stew and chocolate pudding, we just sat around and talked instead of playing board games. We'll play next time. He'll be singing this weekend at the Vaihingen Christmas Market where our church will have a booth. We hope to make it there for that. There is no snow called for this weekend, rain instead with cold temperatures. Snow would for sure be better than rain for the Christmas Market.
