We "Sprung Forward" this weekend, making Sunday night seem very strange with it not getting dark till after 8pm.
We had a pretty casual weekend. Instead of mostly rain on Saturday, more snow fell, so we hung out at home & by the way, we did have that pancake breakfast. Tyler came over for a little while in the afternoon. He got pretty tired & fussy so he fell asleep, but woke up tired & fussy. Don't yet know how he managed the time change. After he went home, Gerhard mentioned that he would like to watch the soccer game that would be coming on TV at 8pm. My response, was that before hand, he could watch The Village with me. He always refuses to watch it since it's too scary for his taste. He made it through the film, but I had to warn him for the scary parts & give away the secret about the creatures living in the woods. Don't want to tell too much for those who have yet to see the movie. It's an acquired taste...one of those love it hate it films. I really like it and have watched it several times - Gerhard says it's a one time viewing film in his opinion. To each his own! If it's not a "Joe Dirt" type of film, he's not too interested. For me, that's a one time viewing film...if that much. Anyway, the soccer game came on, but before half time, Gerhard was already snoozing on the couch. Meanwhile, I went ahead & turned all the clocks forward, so it was suddenly 10:30pm and time for bed... "turn off that TV already, you've been sleeping through the whole game....just look how late it is!" hee hee...
Sunday morning remained quite dreary outside, but, the sun broke through in the afternoon. After church, we went to lunch with some friends & invited them afterwards to our place for Latte's and bowling on Wii. They brought their Jack Russel who could not figure out why the guys were throwing a ball, but there was nothing for him to go fetch. It was too funny even though the little dog got very frustrated.
Today the sun is very bright in the cloudless sky. I almost need sunglasses here in the living room. Gerhard called to say his Monday morning is starting out quite busy in the office with several people calling to sign up on dental insurance. Dental insurance is one of Gerhard's specialties. He has a type of cooperation with many dentist in our county. The dentist give the patients Gerhard's info card to sign up on a special kind of insurance that covers professional cleaning twice a year for practically the cost of the insurance. It's a good thing all around. The dentist have their patience come back twice a year to take better care of their teeth - a plus for the patient and Gerhard gets new clients - a plus for the client to have an honest insurance broker who has the client's best interest as main focus.
I've got several chores for today and projects for this week, plus I've got to get out in the sunshine. No telling when the next week of rain sneak up on us.
Have a sunny week!
