The US "Sprang Forward" yesterday March 12th, four weeks earlier than normal. Europe doesn't spring forward till March 25th. Till then, the US East Coast is only five hours behind Germany. It is already staying light here longer, evidence of the approaching Spring. Since Christmas, our daylight time has been slowly increasing from Sunrise at 8:21am & Sunset at 4:26pm to today with Sunrise at 6:45am & Sunset at 6:22pm. Eventually, we'll have Sunrise at 5:14am in June and Sunset at 9:37pm - meaning it doesn't really get dark till after 10pm. More fun in the sun!
FYI, the US Fallback is Nov. 4th and for Europe, it's Oct. 28th this year.
oh yeah, one more thing, it is officially called Daylight Saving Time! The point is to save daylight time, so there is not an S on saving. I know, I know... old habits die hard - if ever.
Have a Great Monday & for those of you in the good ol' US of A, enjoy your extra daylight!
