After much debate and down right arguing, a new law has passed today in Stuttgart, the capital of our State Baden Wuerttemberg. When a law is passed, it can go into effect as soon as one week from that date. This means that one week from today, on the 1st of August in the year of 2007...it will be illegal to "light up" in public buildings. We are so excited to soon be able to go to the mall, to restaurants or other public places without coming home saturated with cigarette smoke. Our State and one other of the 16 States in Germany have taken the plunge to put the law into effect before the actual deadline of Jan. 2008.
