KICKERS***KICKERS***KICKERS!!!

On Sunday July 8th, Gerhard's favorite soccer team, Stuttgarter Kickers played a friendship game against Aidlingen, a small town not far from us. Naturally we just had to go even though on the previous Friday afternoon, we watched Bayern slaughter a team much lower than they.

On the way, there was a heavy rain, but we kept on since the weather hear can fluctuate so quickly and often varies even from town to town. When we got there, the rain had let up to a light drizzle. Roland & Tyler were already inside the gate. We got Tyler's attention and he was excited to start playing.

Here's the Kicker's line-up. The goalie in green is actually an American, David Yelldell.


Take notice of the kids in the background playing soccer on the other side of the fence. The kid goalie missed the ball & just landed on the ground, leg still in the air, with the ball behind his head. Too funny!


Here, the other teams goalie is about to get squished by two Kickers. Ball didn't make it in on this try, however, the final score was 16-1 for the Kickers.


"Ouch, you're stepping on my toe...I'm being triiippped...!"


At first Tyler thought it would be allowed for him to go right out onto the field with the players. Caught him just in time & explained he had to stay behind this pole. He didn't try to go out on the field again.


"YEAH!!! We've got erdbears!" That's what Tyler calls gummy bears.


"Oh, it's hot...but yummy...give me more!" Roland giving Tyler bites from a rote wurst.


Tyler & Roland. Finally the rain stopped so we could take off our jackets, the weather was warm & sticky.
