Here is the photo of our second World Vision child.
Tomas Joao is seven years old, likes soccer, has three brothers and lives with his parents in Mozambique, Africa.
We'll be sending him a card with a photo of us soon. They told us to make sure there is nothing "western-style extravagant" in the background of the photos we send the kids. Wouldn't do to send the one of us in front of the Lichtenstein castle I suppose!

This is great that you're doing this. Why do they want nothing "western-style" in the image?
Since they have very little if any at all with western-style "riches", they would be shocked and possibly confused by the photos. Even computers and tv's that we don't even notice as being "riches" anymore.
We have sponsored our Ana since 2000, we have received many!!!notes, pictures, cards from her and watched her grow just like Samantha. Samantha calls Ana her sister and she will tell you she has a sister in Mexico. It is so rewarding when her notes say how much she loves us. Our goal one day is to meet her face to face..enjoy this time. love ya'll
