We hope you had a Happy Easter! We went to church Friday morning as well as Sunday morning. The weather has been perfect. We've had snowy Easter mornings in the past, so the sunshine & warm temperatures this year felt more like Spring. After church on Sunday we stopped by Gerhard's parents to say hey to his dad since he wasn't at church. We wound up staying for lunch. Afterwards we went home for some fresh chocolate cake & coffee. Around 2:45pm we went back over to Gerhard's parents since Tyler, Christie & Roland were there visiting. Tyler got a new water toy which soaked his clothes, but he didn't even seem to notice. He was on a sugar high from his Easter candy!
At 4pm we went over to some friends for more cake and to play games. We did take a walk after having cake since the sunshine was just too nice to waste indoors. There was seven of us in all, but did find a couple of fun games to play so we didn't make it home till 9pm. That's OK since today (Monday) is also a holiday.
Today we had yummy pancakes for breakfast & are right now taking it easy. We'll walk over to Gerhard's office in a little bit. Since the phones wont be ringing, we can work on his organization...or should I say UNorganization. His office is really out of order. The phone rings so often during the day & he has so many appointments, he just can't keep up with all the paperwork. So I'm going to use my administration skills to set up a smoother running office for him & be his assistant in charge of book-keeping. I've helped out before in the office, but just for small, short-term things. This will be a long-term job till he retires, so it will be something new in our relationship. It will be interesting to see how that adjustment goes over. :-) I can hear my old bosses now...especially Clint "Oh poor Gerhard!" Gerhard's not worried. The office is in desperate need of someone with organization/administration skills to set it right, so I think we'll work well together. Maybe I'll take some before & after photos.
Speaking of photos, the above photo is of the display window at our church. Each month or a couple times per month, the window has to be changed. The previous person in charge asked if I would take it over from him, so this is my first window. We hung it up Saturday night so it would be ready for Sunday morning service.
