Flowers & Yard Work

Here are some photos from mid April of more flowers & trees in bloom and some of the projects going on in the yard. Every day when the weather permits, I try to get as much done in the yard as possible. April & May are prime months for planting & weeding. We've been in this house for a year though last Spring was not easy with the pregnancy to do yard work, so not much was done. The yard was not that well cared for over the past years, but it is slowly getting into shape. It will however take several years to get it the way I want it. Teodor enjoys sitting in his pack-n-play, exersaucer or stroller while I work. Mostly though he prefers to be crawling through the dirt pulling up flowers and grass. I'll have to get photos of that next time. I keep the grass high as we head into Spring here since wild flowers grow all over the whole yard. Once they fade away, the grass cutting, cultivating, seeding & fertilizing begins. We have several moss patches that might be a bit of a challenge to conquer...not to mention the hundreds of dandelions and other weeds.
